What we collect when you contact us, what we do with it, and how to get it deleted. Short, because we don’t collect much.

Somerville’s Home Services, Oatlands, Weybridge, Surrey KT13. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us on 01932 932456 or at [email protected].
If you fill in the quote form, we collect the details you type into it: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, which trade you need, and whatever you write in the details box. Nothing else is collected from that form.
If you call, text or message us on WhatsApp, we hold whatever you tell us, along with your phone number.
If you use the postcode checker, that happens entirely in your browser. The postcode is not sent to us or stored anywhere unless you go on to submit the form.
We use your details for one thing: to answer your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to arrange and carry out the work. We do not send marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has asked us to quote for work — and, once you book, performance of a contract. Where we keep records for tax purposes, the basis is legal obligation.
We don’t sell your details or share them for marketing. Three companies handle data as part of running this site:
We also use ordinary email and phone services to reply to you.
Enquiries that don’t turn into work are deleted within twelve months.
Records of work we have actually done — invoices, what was fitted, where — are kept for six years, which is how long HMRC requires business records to be retained.
You can ask us to:
Ring or email us and we’ll sort it — there’s no form to fill in, and it costs nothing. We’ll respond within a month.
If you think we’ve handled your information badly and we haven’t put it right, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking. That is why you aren’t being asked to accept anything.
If we change how any of this works — adding analytics, say, or a booking system — we’ll update this page and change the date at the top.
Any questions
If anything here is unclear, or you want your details removed, call and we’ll deal with it there and then.
