Handyman, gardener & locksmith in Addlestone

Addlestone, New Haw and Woodham make up KT15, and all three are a short drive from our base in Oatlands. Handyman jobs, garden maintenance and locksmithing, priced before we start.

Addlestone has changed a lot: a rebuilt town centre with a good deal of new apartment stock sitting alongside postwar semis on the surrounding roads. The two generate very different work, and the new flats generate more of it than people expect — everything arrives flat-packed and nothing comes with the right fixings.

What we get called out for

The jobs that come up in Addlestone

Handyman

Flat-pack assembly and wall fixings in the newer flats, where getting a heavy mirror or a TV onto the wall safely depends entirely on what is behind the plasterboard. In the older houses: doors, shelves, fence panels and the small repairs that have been waiting.

From £60

Garden maintenance

Mowing, edging and hedge cutting on the postwar gardens, and the overgrown clearance where a border has been left a season too long. If you are letting or selling, a tidy-up booked a few days before the photographs makes a visible difference.

From £60

Locksmithing

Lock changes when you take on a new flat — worth doing on day one, since you have no idea how many keys are out there — plus cylinder upgrades, snapped keys and same-day lockouts.

“Excellent service from Liam. Called with my enquiry and fitted me in on the same day. A very polite gentleman and would definitely use his services again.”

Questions

Before you book

I have just moved into a new flat. Should I change the locks?

On a flat’s own front door, yes, and it is cheap to do. You have no way of knowing how many keys the previous tenants had cut. Communal entrance doors are the building manager’s call rather than yours, so that one needs to go through them.

What does a visit cost?

Visits start at £60, which covers the first hour on site. Locksmithing starts at £90. Anything longer or anything needing parts is agreed with you before we carry on — you will not get a surprise at the end.

Do you charge a callout fee to come to Addlestone?

No. There is no separate callout charge and no travel surcharge for any of the towns we cover. The starting price is the starting price.
